Glass, Metal, Nitric Acid

The work was made for a show at a deserted factory. I collected metal parts from the Factory’s machines, making encapsulated souvenirs: glass domes filled with acid slowly deteriorating  the metal inside, leaving only remnants: their metal dust.

It’s interesting to follow the evolution of deterioration: first it is clear; then it gradually becomes obscure. When the acid becomes inactive, it goes back to being clear again. To me, this is symbolic to the ongoing process of memory
